Paul Sexton - July 25, 2007 8:18 AM

Nate - July 25, 2007 7:29 PM
Nah… I’m not talking about certain other bass players 😉
Nate - July 25, 2007 7:40 PM
Saturday’s show is listed at starting at 8pm
Guy Pratt - July 25, 2007 9:10 PM
These 2 are pre records as I’m doing my show in Dublin, then Faro with Mr Ferry..
Next batch will be live. Make sure you eamil the station and tell them how fab I am so I can get a regular show (And choose all my own records, there’s some right stinkers they’ve picked for me..)
Paul Sexton - July 25, 2007 11:04 PM
Guy,
Are you doing any shows in the North?
Cheers
Paul

Damn I was hoping that there would be no playlist and you could play what you liked. I hope you got to choose some tracks and that you were allowed to tell some of your stories from your fine book that I finished just last night 🙂
Phoenix - July 27, 2007 5:10 AM
Might as well ask the next obvious question… the website for the US theatres showing the 2nd of David’s two broadcast thingies actually says you’ll be present ‘on stage’ at the 15 September event (in all-caps, no less).
True/untrue/publicity hyperbole?
Cheers,
Nix.

Just to wish you well for your D J ing stint. If the records are that bad do what other DJ’s do and talk over them. I’m sure anything you have to say will be far more entertaining unless you’ve managed to smuggle in a couple of tracks by Messrs Gilmour or Ferry.…Best wishes from Phil and Heather

I rather liked the show, although I think it was fairly obvious which songs you picked and which the station picked. 😉 In terms of sound and smoothness (believe me, there are some people on the radio who ought not to be, they don’t have what I call a ‘radio voice’), you sounded perfectly fine to me. It’s always good to hear the other guys in the studio cracking up about something funny the DJ says.
A nice groovy way to spend some time at work. And tomorrow, I can listen without any goofy customers interrupting me, woohoo!
Hopefully, they’ll be sensible and give you a regular show, cos ‘didn’t he do well’?
Cheers,
Nix.
Paul Sexton - July 29, 2007 8:17 PM
Guy,
Look’s like we might get to Edinburgh for a show, any chance of you signing my book ?
Paul
Brian - July 30, 2007 3:08 PM
Hey Guy,
Just thought I’d write to thank you for the great show on Saturday in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens. The show was excellent and really refreshing — a nice change from the usual gigs! Hopefully you’ll return to do it again sometime! Lisa (my wife) and I were delighted you could take the time afterwards to chat to the fans and do a few signings and photos.
Pity about that bloody guitar amp!!
See you at Leicester Square!!
PS. Love the book design! My favourite bit is the silver foil on the spine of the hard cover. Also, if you want some gratuitous advertising over here, just drop me an email — I’m a graphic designer with 11 years experience 🙂
pedro - July 31, 2007 10:20 PM
Guy,
It was a pleasure to met you and chat with you.
Thank you for everything!
Besides playing very well, you are really a nice and friendly person as you seem to be on stage.
Now you have a friend in Portugal!
Cheers,
Pedro

Hi Guy. Just finished your new book today. What a wild card you were then and fortunate. Good stories along with the David and Floyd stuff. Jimmy was special. I didn’t get the meaning about Winona though, dufus that I am. Take care and be well.
Guy Pratt - August 1, 2007 9:55 PM
In adverts for used cars in england they often say “one careful owner” the joke being her name sounds like ‘One owner”…
Niall Kavanagh - August 2, 2007 11:44 AM
Hi Guy,
Thanks for the great show in Dublin last sat. We really enjoyed it, a really interesting and different show. We especially loved it when you played the bass. I think most of the audience did too. People were just waiting for you to take the instrument in your hands and show how good you are. Please add more of this, we don’t mind good musos showing off! Of course, the stories were great too.
I think the crowd would have been bigger if the show had been publicised more. A show like that couldn’t fail to go down well in a music loving city like Dublin! As I mentioned after the show I think you should come back and play a nice theatre like the Olympia in the city centre. It would be very popular if the word got out there and with the right publicity.
I bought your book on Sunday and I’m slap bang in the middle of it at the moment.….can’t put it down. (By the way, have you discovered why the Moscow audience always cheered during the film clip for Us and Them?). A very enjoyable read, congrats on it.
Hope to see you back here soon,
Regards,
Niall

Howdy, Guy. We BarnFest attendees listened to your show on Saturday. It was even better than I expected! 😉 The interview with Rick was wonderful and the Gdansk Echoes clip? Brilliant.
Sorry to say that I missed the show on Sunday. Is there an archived show feature? Have you already answered this question eleventy-one times?
I sent the Planet Rock peeps a little note exclaiming over you. Having your own show would be great!
Hope to see you on the radio again soon.…
Becky
