I haven’t been able to get into my own bloody site fort ages!
Hello all, well I’m home and things look pretty quiet for the forseeable future, which isn’t great, but there you go. Australia was great fun, if something of a hard slog, and a million thanks to everyone who came..
Cheers
Guy

Hey Guy,
Good to see you back with your log-in! As I mentioned in the last post — American fans look forward to having you over here. If things are quieting down, I wonder if this might bring about a Guy Pratt band?
My wife and I were driving the other day when they started playing an Icehouse track on the radio; we started talking about your show, which we missed at the Chelsea Festival because they had rescheduled it (merged it with the earlier of two shows) in… what was that… 2007? She still hasn’t seen your show. (We did meet you as your show was wrapping up and we are so grateful you took the time to chat with us and sign your book).
We will be spending so much time in the UK over the next few months maybe we will catch a new leg of your stand-up tour there… if not we hope we do catch you at some point when you hit the stage out here in the US. I’ve had the chance to see your show before and have told her so much about it.
It’s great to hear you on Planet Rock. Glad to see things are going well!

Sorry to hear things are a tad quiet on the work front Guy, you could always flog some PF memorabilia on eBay to pay the next leccy bill. Or perhaps even auction a few pairs of your Y‑Fronts? Christopher Timothy got £500 for a pair of his for Children in Need one year!

Hey Guy, I’m reading your book and laughing quite a bit. Hope you can make it Toronto some time with you show or maybe in a band?
Cheers!

Encouraging to hear that you are back in the UK, maybe you’ll have more time to focus on your family life though.

Hey Guy, sorry to hear things are a bit quiet, I hope I contributed in a small way on the financial front (I bought your book at your show in Ballarat in Australia!) I was the little bloke who played bass in the Pink Floyd tribute band. Thanks for the show, I really enjoyed it as I did your book. Cheers

Hi, Guy! In your book I’ve read about a house track called Last chicken in the shop. When can we hear it?

Hi there GP, just got home ish from your little show at Mama Stones in Exeter, we really enjoyed it man! Some of the stuff was a bit ‘raw’ for Charlie my 11yr old son! But hey I did bring him and well that’s rock’n’roll baby! Good to actually meet you today, twice infact, was at Mansons guitar show earlier. Pity couldn’t talk to you longer or over a beer, maybe possible one day. My son is an aspiring musician and he couldn’t do much better than emulate your career! You shook his hand so maybe something will rub off! Nice one Guy, M&C.

Guy Your agents don’t deal with this sort of thing. You’re sitting there moping that you have nothing to get into right now, nonsense mate! Listen to me! There’s no money in this but it’s a feel-good project — in fact its a very good feel good project that you would love to get involved in, and I’m not describing it here in case the recipient is reading it. Get your secretary to email me. I can sort it out with her. Its simply wonderful and youre probably the only bugger who can make it work. I’m counting on you to chase this up.
Appreciate it
Jamie

A brief thank you from a grateful fan for a fantastic evening. The Sydney show was one of the best stand-up gigs I’ve been to, rivaled only by Steven Wright.
Regards,
Jeremy Dylan
