Guy,
Just wanted to touch base (ka-boom), say hello, and ‘cheers’ for My Bass & Other Animals. Just read it over the weekend, and I thorougly enjoyed it. I’ve read a library of music books, and some are obvioulsy going to be better than others, but yours was a select treat. Not only did it make me belly laugh several times, but I specifically enjoyed your balance of humour and humility. Even though you appear to have lived — and are living — a charmed life, the book never lost sight of your gratitude and, above all, continued joy at being part of a world (of music) you very obviously adore… like so many of us music junkies.
Thanks for putting smiles on my face, not least for the sheer classic line that I think will live on in my mind: “Me and Sid had a bad lunch!”
God bless you, Guy,
Steve

This comment just to say that I really love the book (I don’t understand all the jokes I think but I will read it again to understand all)… I have time to read in the train when I go or come back from school and I often laugh alone!
It’s really great! Good job Mr Pratt! And have joy in Basel!
Thanks for your kind words…By the way it’s
“Me and Sid had bad lunch” (Not ‘a’, sorry but I’m a pedant…)

Hey Guy,
We really hope to see you when we come back to the UK this November / December… I am not sure you recollect, but I’ve seen your stand-up show and Marie hasn’t! We were late to one of your shows in London after they shuffled around your show schedule at the Chelsea festival (was that it?) and we missed notification of this.
Hope some new shows are added to your tour page soon! We’d love to catch the show.
Happy Halloween.
Best,
Ed

Hello Guy,
Love both your musical and comedy performances, and your book as well. Is there any chance that you’d show up in Norway to do your stand-up show? Perhaps to make up for the lack of a Gilmour show here when he was on tour…?
Or even better; maybe you could talk Gilmour into doing a few Norway shows, along with your stand-up show, and perhaps, with a little luck, you could get Nick Mason with you as well, and do a full-scale Pink Floyd Norway 2007–2008 tour, together with your stand-up show, and then you coul.…..all right, I’ll stop.

Haven’t quite finished the book yet but i’ve already laughed a lot — my family must think i’m going mad!
Glad to see my parents aren’t the only ones who don’t understand that an electric guitar is a lot better than an acoustic guitar when you’re a teenager.
I probably shouldn’t ask but when are you going to play my hometown? Only kidding. I live in southend so you could go to where it all started! The Teddy Boy revival finished quite a while ago (well, before i was born anyway) so these days it’s safe to go to the seafront whilst its still daylight, and there’s even a sushi restaurant at the top of the high street.
Cheers,
Thomas

Hello Guy,
Yet another DG blogger calling in ..
I wanted to thank you for signing my programme at the Odeon last month.
Really enjoyed that première. A lot.
Just saw that you will be performing in Oxford today.
Knock ’em dead, Guy
I hope you would consider bringing your show to Belgium on occasion.
I would happily seize the opportunity to buy you a few beers, if you like.
Best regards,
Ralph

Hello Guy,
I´ve been watching David’s “Remember That Night” DVD in the last month: Excellent DVD!
I find it a very nostalgic one and very well played too:
I am particulary enjoying “Echoes” (of course), “On an Island”, and “Then I close my eyes”.

Always remembering our unforgetable chat in Algarve last July,
Cheers from Portugal,
