To everyone…
It hasn’t been the best of years, and I hope none of you are losing your homes! Here’s to a better 2009..
xxGuy
P.S
I’d just like to share the response I sent to the NPF website who put a link to my Australian TV interview..
Before I get in a whole heap of trouble, could I just point out that I didn’t say David played most of the Bass, I merely meant he played some, such as the fretless work on The Wall, the comment was meant to be light hearted and frivolous, and should be taken as such. I did give Roger his full due as lyricist and conceptualist so was hardly trying to belittle him, which your comment could lead some to presume. The way you’ve posted it makes it sound more serious than it is.

Happy Christmas everyone. I hope Father Christmas brings everyone some nice presents, and a big stick to beat any bankers with just in case you see any (although if there are any bankers reading this then you are obviously one of the few nice bankers who have good taste and thus shouldn’t be beaten).
With regards to your email to NPF, some people elsewhere have taken it the wrong way but i’ve seen the interview and it seemed perfectly clear to me that the comment wasn’t entirely serious. Unfortunately some people are devoid of common sense when it comes to thinks like these, or they just choose to ignore it so they can have a good old moan about the usually Pink Floyd stuff. Frank;y i don’t think they’re worth listening to.
I think i’ve wittered on long enough, so merry christmas everyone.

Merry Christmas Guy.

You might want to get over to the Fleeting Glimpse forum then (where this all originated) and clarify the situation there, as this is being hotly debated.

I watched the interview live here and your comment was taken in context and was funny — and nothing we already did not know from other sources.
But I do have to take you to account over your choice of date for your Sydney show — the only night of the year that I was being operated on for a bad shoulder! How dare you! I would have loved to see the show, and to give you a hug to pass onto Gala for the loss of her father and our friend.
Happy New Year!

Happy happy birthday to my favorite bass player! I’ll make sure there’s a toast in your honor tomorrow when I meet up with a couple of bloggers here in Dublin. 🙂

Happy Birthday Guy, hope you have a great day. And remember, you’re not getting older, you’re just getting more experienced.

I had a Guinness the last time I was here, Paul, and it wasn’t for me… and Linda can stop chuckling to herself right now! 🙂 I’ll stick to the Jamesons whiskey instead.
And happy birthday again, Guy!

Hello m’dear!
I’d like to send you greetings and wish you a happy new year, as well as a slightly-belated Happy Birthday! I’m always late with these things …
Love the interview snippets–it’s lovely to hear you laughing and telling tales of tour antics. I must read your book again…I could use a good guffaw right about now!
Take care ~ I wish you and yours peace, love and happiness in the coming year(s).
