   Hey Guy,

   Good to see you back with your log-in! As I men­tioned in the last post — American fans look for­ward to hav­ing you over here. If things are qui­et­ing down, I won­der if this might bring about a Guy Pratt band?

   My wife and I were dri­ving the other day when they started play­ing an Icehouse track on the radio; we started talk­ing about your show, which we missed at the Chelsea Festival because they had resched­uled it (merged it with the ear­lier of two shows) in… what was that… 2007? She still has­n’t seen your show. (We did meet you as your show was wrap­ping up and we are so grate­ful you took the time to chat with us and sign your book).

   We will be spend­ing so much time in the UK over the next few months maybe we will catch a new leg of your stand-up tour there… if not we hope we do catch you at some point when you hit the stage out here in the US. I’ve had the chance to see your show before and have told her so much about it.

   It’s great to hear you on Planet Rock. Glad to see things are going well!

   Sorry to hear things are a tad quiet on the work front Guy, you could always flog some PF mem­o­ra­bilia on eBay to pay the next leccy bill. Or per­haps even auc­tion a few pairs of your Y‑Fronts? Christopher Timothy got £500 for a pair of his for Children in Need one year!

   hi guy, dont know how to reach gala other than through you.
   we have missed rather large parts of each oth­ers lives. im sorry to hear about galas dad. my son char­lie died in 2006.
   not sure if gala would be inter­ested, but im try­ing to organ­ise a party for tim podger, who gala will prob­a­bly remem­ber, who has just got engaged. hes liv­ing in koh samui but back in octo­ber. there are plans for a reunion on oct 13^th in soho — dun­can, par­sons, si riley, nat barb etc are i think all com­ing.

   Hey Guy, sorry to hear things are a bit quiet, I hope I con­tributed in a small way on the finan­cial front (I bought your book at your show in Ballarat in Australia!) I was the lit­tle bloke who played bass in the Pink Floyd trib­ute band. Thanks for the show, I really enjoyed it as I did your book. Cheers

   Hi there GP, just got home ish from your lit­tle show at Mama Stones in Exeter, we really enjoyed it man! Some of the stuff was a bit ‘raw’ for Charlie my 11yr old son! But hey I did bring him and well that’s rock­’n’roll baby! Good to actu­ally meet you today, twice infact, was at Mansons gui­tar show ear­lier. Pity could­n’t talk to you longer or over a beer, maybe pos­si­ble one day. My son is an aspir­ing musi­cian and he could­n’t do much bet­ter than emu­late your career! You shook his hand so maybe some­thing will rub off! Nice one Guy, M&C.

   Guy Your agents don’t deal with this sort of thing. You’re sit­ting there mop­ing that you have noth­ing to get into right now, non­sense mate! Listen to me! There’s no money in this but it’s a feel-good project — in fact its a very good feel good project that you would love to get involved in, and I’m not describ­ing it here in case the recip­i­ent is read­ing it. Get your sec­re­tary to email me. I can sort it out with her. Its sim­ply won­der­ful and youre prob­a­bly the only bug­ger who can make it work. I’m count­ing on you to chase this up.

    A brief thank you from a grate­ful fan for a fan­tas­tic evening. The Sydney show was one of the best stand-up gigs I’ve been to, rivaled only by Steven Wright.
